Volunteers from Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Woodway were distributing boxes of food on Monday as part of a free Summer Food Program for children age 18 and under. The boxes of food offer meals and snacks as a means to assist children and teens who rely on school meals with the church partnering with Feeding Southwest Virginia. The program is open to all (18 and under) with distribution each Monday from 10 a.m. to noon at the church through August 5.
