Town of Pennington Gap Water Treatment Plant received a silver award for achieving Virginia’s optimization program goals for Water Treatment Plant Performance for Excellence in Filtration and Backwash.  Avery and Allyson Jones of Jonesville were inducted to serve as Area FFA Officers for the 2024-25 school year at the FFA Spring Rally in Wytheville on April 12.  Avery Jones will serve as Area Sentinel and Allyson Jones will serve as Area Reporter.  Both girls currently serve as Chapter officers in the Lee FFA Chapter at the Lee County Career and Technical Center and work on their show cattle for their Supervised Agricultural Experience. Both enjoy livestock judging.  Their parents are Paige and Travis Willis and Tom Jones, all of Jonesville. Beth Shell serves as the Lee FFA Advisor.
